How is Spokane Stretch Different?

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) differs from traditional stretching.  Traditional stretching can be forceful, causing discomfort.   I often see people pushing into a stretch thinking this is how they will become more flexible.  Please stop that ;). I tell my clients “you do not need to beat the body into submission”. Forceful stretching and holding for many seconds can be uncomfortable, BORING and the gains are small.  With FST, you will never feel pain, it’s never boring because we are always moving and the gains are LARGE.  We are targeting the fascia, connective tissue that surrounds our muscles, helping it glide with the muscles.  This in turn, lets you move with more ease.

I know how hard you work. Often our focus becomes taking care of others and even though we love them, the weight of life can feel unwieldy. You may be feeling tense, achey or in pain in areas where we normally hold stress (neck, shoulders and hips).

Now is the time to take care of YOU, Beautiful.

Meet Becky

Meet Becky Kukucka, Fascia Stretch Therapy Practitioner.  I opened Spokane Stretch in 2023 after experiencing for myself the effects of this type of body work.   I’ve spent many years with pain and tension of my own, that frequently lead to headaches. Along with seeing a chiropractor who helped my jaw, adding stretching has been a game changer for me.  I love fascia stretch therapy for myself, but I also rarely miss my morning neck stretches.  It’s quick and easy but most importantly, it’s EFFECTIVE.  I do not get headaches anymore.  I’m here for you Beautiful.  I’m rooting for you to find ease in your body so you can Move Well & Play Hard.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is stretch therapy?

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is assisted stretching that targets the connective tissue system (fascia) and joints, instead of isolated muscles. Certified therapists use movement through traction and a series of stretches to unlock tension in the deepest layers of tissue. The aim is to unravel restrictions in the fascia, relax the hold the nervous system has on the tissues and decompress joints by expanding space in the soft tissues.

What are the benefits?

You will experience decompression and a greater range of motion, leaving you feeling lighter, less tense and pain-free! I aim to leave you feeling your best by the end of your session! You may also experience: Stress relief Improved flexibility Enhanced athletic performance Reduced risk of injury

Do I need to renew my license?

Marks and devious Semikoli but the Little Blind Text didn’t listen. She packed her seven versalia, put her initial into the belt and made herself on the way.

Is Assisted Stretching only for athletes?

Stretching is important not only for athletes, but for anyone with a high-stress job, anyone who sits five plus hours a day, anyone who’s getting a little stiff and sore as they get older, or anyone who’s experiencing chronic pain or an injury. Basically if you have a body, it’s for you!

What should I wear?

To get the most out of your stretch I recommend you wear athletic clothing or something that is easy to move in. I also recommend that you come hydrated.

How do I make an appointment?

You can make an appointment through my website https://spokanestretch.com. Look for the Book Now tab. I am also glad to get you set up over the phone at (509) 842-0235. Don’t hesitate to call or text me with any questions.

How often should I get stretched?

I recommend these options: 2 times a month will help get a deep stretch to reduce stress, stretch deeper than you can on your own and help tight/tense muscles. 1 time a week will maintain flexibility in addition to your daily home routine. 2 times week to improve flexibility, make gains, improve posture.

How long is a session?

I offer 50 minute full body stretches, or 25 minute upper OR lower body express stretch sessions. You will leave feeling immediately better. These results will be prolonged with an at home stretching routine. I will share ideas for you to do on your own if you wish.

Do you take insurance?

Unfortunately, I am not able to take insurance for stretching sessions.

Where are you located?

We are in the Symon's Block Building downtown at 7 S. Howard St. #210 within The Anam Cara Healing Center.

What is your cancellation policy?

You must cancel at least 24 hours prior to your appointment to avoid full charges for the service.
